The Admiral's Head at Little Bealings was one of the old-style rustic village pubs in the 1970s. There were three public rooms and no bar - the landlady fetched beer from the cellar in a jug and filled glasses up at the counter. Woe-betide any one who sat in "old Joe's" seat.

At the turn of the '80s, after the landlady left, the pub was gutted back to a shell and the new Admiral's Head was reborn - in the style of a rustic village pub. There were many happy years - most memorable were those heaving with Thursday evening jazz nights!

Unfortunately, times change and the present Licensee has been unable to sustain the business - which closed in July 2012.
